Mark Schumacher teaches in Northwestern University's Master of Science in Data Science program, where he has the unique perspective of having experienced group projects as both a student and an instructor. After a career spanning corporate finance, analytics, and innovation leadership, he earned his MSDS degree from Northwestern and now teaches courses in the Technology Entrepreneurship specialization. Drawing on experiences from both sides of the classroom, he explores how students and instructors can thoughtfully integrate generative AI into team-based learning while preserving authenticity, expertise, collaboration, and meaningful human contribution.
